French Consumer Reports identifies the safest and most effective hair dye. Using the standards of the Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (CSSC) of the European Union (a much more stringent system than our own regulators use), each product was evaluated for: potential irritation, sensitization, mutagenic risks, and carcinogen and reproductive toxins. A natural product was not only judged fully acceptable for long-lasting natural color – it was the only one that received an acceptable safety rating. (Good news – it’s a product made in the US!)
